First & Sixth – an American Eatery in downtown Roanoke
First & Sixth is a new restaurant in Roanoke, VA, located in the newly renovated Patrick Henry building. The restaurant, dubbed an American Eatery, offers an upscale menu including Southern dishes and more traditional foods with a Southern flair. First & Sixth serves dinner Monday through Saturday.
The restaurant’s name, First & Sixth, is a reference to the building’s namesake, Patrick Henry, who was both the first and the sixth post-Colonial governor of Virginia. We are proud to operate our restaurant in Roanoke’s historic Patrick Henry, where our Southern heritage and rich history come alive.
In addition to our restaurant, we invite you to visit the Penny Deux Lounge, our cocktail bar located in the lobby of the Patrick Henry. Take in the beautiful décor of this historic space while enjoying wonderful cocktails. The Lounge also offers unique and interesting live music on most weekend nights.
